HKS uses a 3D Meter panel design for this meter as it does with the Chrono Link gauges. Illumination uses white LED lights that give excellent visibility for night-time driving with lower electrical consumption.
Linking System Meter:
By using an I/F Unit between the gauges and the sensors (similar to the DEFI Link systems and the APEXi EL2 system), this system offers no fuss hook up and wiring. HKS has designed the I/F Unit to be installed in the engine bay, so only one main harness needs to be wired through the firewall to connect up to 6 gauges. When you want to add other gauges in the future, they will be able to be connected to the main wire without running any other wires from the engine bay.
Light Weight and Super Slim Design
The thickness of the HKS RS Direct Bright Meter gauges are just 23 mm is the thinnest gauge available from Japan. The gauges are also ultra light weight, meaning the can be stuck anywhere you want by either just using double sided tape, or the optional HKS meter stand.
High Performance Stepping Motor Design
- The HKS RS DB Meter uses a high performance stepping motor for the movement, which features quick needle response and accurate reading. As an electronic gauge, the HKS RS Direct Bright Meter features the following functions: - Peak-hold function - Warning function - Replay function (maximum 180 seconds) - Self-diagnosis function for wiring problem, etc... - LED dimmer function - Selective function (Two temperature sensors can be used for one gauge, so the gauge can show two different reading. *This function is only available for water/oil/air temperature readings)
